“Armin T. Wegner and the Armenians in Anatolia, 1915” exhibition’s official opening ceremony was held in Italy’s Treviso city council seat Palazzo dei Trecento. The week of events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide launched by the opening of exhibition. Department of public relations and Press Service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed “Armenpress” about this.
During the opening of the exhibition Armenian ambassador to Italy Sargis Ghazaryan, Treviso Mayor Giovanni Manildo, Armenian Honorary council Pietro Kuciukian and others had speeches.
The group of events dedicated to the 100 th anniversary of Armenian genocide launched by the opening of the ceremony, which sponsors are Italian embassy to Armenia, Armenian community in Italy, Municipality of Treviso and “Feder Piazza” Fund. The week includes 3 symposiums, 2 of which are for students, also book presentations, documentary film show and liturgy in memory of Armenian Genocide victims in Treviso Cathedral.
