Sources say there are no Armenians among the victims of the explosion that took place in Istanbul, as posted on the Facebook page of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On the morning of January 12, a powerful explosion took place in Istanbul’s central Sultanahmet Square, killing 10 and injuring 15. The press release of the governor’s office states that the governor’s office is currently examining the reason behind the explosion, the type of explosion and the fact that the explosion could have been organized by one person or a group of people.
Earlier, Turkish mass media outlets reported that, according to a preliminary version, the explosion might have been organized by an insurgent.
