Armenian Anne Frank’s Book on Baku Massacres Presented

The book “Nowhere, a Story of Exile”, telling about the Armenians’ massacres in Baku, has been presented to the Armenian public. Armenpress reports that the presentation of the book by Anna Astvatsaturian-Turcotte was organized by the initiative of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, telling about the tragedy of the Armenians living in Azerbaijan, which was seldom spoken about in the West.

25 years ago the eleven-year-old Anna Turcotte-Astvatsaturian fled to Armenia from Baku with her parents and five-year-old brother and in January 1992 they left for USA, taking with them four suitcases, 180 US dollars and a status of refugee. Today she has returned to her motherland at the age, at which her mother with her husband and children had to leave it.
