With great sadness, we learned about the untimely passing away of Hampartsum Djabourian, a former alumnus of the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School and an internationally recognized duduk player, on March 13, 2022, in Canada.
Mr. Djabourian remained a caring follower of his beloved school, responded to its successes on all occasions and shared with our school family both the joys and the hardships that any educational institution could go through.
The concert Mr. Djabourian gave at the school on May 27, 2013, captivating the audience with his wonderful performance of the jewels of Armenian music, will remain unforgettable for the Mesrobian family. On that day, the talented musician was awarded a special souvenir bearing the Mesrobian badge by the Principal of the school, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, as an expression of gratitude and appreciation for his work in spreading and introducing Armenian music on the international stage.
On the occasion of his death, the entire Mesrobian family extends their deepest condolences to the school’s most deserving alumnus and great friend’s family members and relatives, and joins them in prayers of mourning and consolation.
