Masis Arakelian to Give “Krunk” (Crane) Concert Presenting Armenian Classical Music of The Past 300 Years

Berlin-based Armenian singer and composer Masis Arakelian will give two concerts entitled “Krunk” (Crane) in Armenia. The first concert will be held at Naregatsi Art Institute (5 February), followed by the concert at Cafesjian Center for the Arts (9 February), reports Hayernaysor.am.

With his unique adaptations, tenor Masis Arakelian will perform Armenian classical music of the past 300 years with the accompaniment of pianist Armen Aghajanyan.

Born in Iran, Masis Arakelian received his first prize at the age of 13. He studied opera singing and composing in Berlin where he also founded and directed the choir of the local Armenian community.

In 2013, the young composer released his album titled “Krunk” (Crane), which includes his works, as well as the works of Komitas and other famous composers and their adaptations.
