Dear Friends,
2015 marks the Armenian Genocide Centennial year, which presents to us a unique opportunity to combine efforts of all Armenian organizations To REMEMBER and DEMAND JUSTICE. The Centennial Committee of Canada has put together a series of projects in all major Canadian Cities with significant Armenian Communities. Most of our events have been achieved with great success; however, we still have upcoming events until the end of this year.
The implementation of forthcoming projects, of course requires funding through donations from members of our community. The response from our community for the first phase of the planned events and projects has been overwhelming, for which we are proud of our community and thankful; however, our costs have increased manifold for upcoming events.
With this letter we are asking you not only to participate in our initiatives, but also to strengthen your commitment by making a financial contribution towards the costs. Our Ontario Budget for our projects and initiatives is about $500,000, during 2015 Centennial year. This amount pales by comparison with Millions that our opponents are spending to deny the Armenian Genocide.
With your financial help and moral support we intend to realize all of them.
