The National Security Service of Armenia has allowed Alexander Sargsyan, the indicted brother of former President Serzh Sargsyan, to travel abroad for a certain period of time.
“The investigative body has permitted Alexander Sargsyan to leave Armenia for a certain period of time,” National Security Service director for communications Samson Galstyan told ARMENPRESS.
He did not specify the purpose or destination of Sargsyan’s travel.
Alexander Sargsyan, a former MP, is charged with embezzlement.
His two sons are also indicted. One of them is under arrest in the Czech Republic pending an extradition process.
