BORAT: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is a comedy film based on the (mostly) unscripted actions and reactions to the character Borat as he travels across America to try and wed Pamela Anderson. Most of those appearing in the film are not paid performers, but real people whom Borat met on his journey. Outrageous situations occur when Borat, a popular reporter (Sacha Baron Cohen) from Kazakhstan, comes to the United States with his producer, Azamat Bagatov (Ken Davitian) to film a documentary on what makes America a great nation. Along the way, he manages to offend just about everyone he meets, fall in love with actress Pamela Anderson, and set forth on a cross-country journey to make her his wife.
KEN DAVITIAN is an Armenian-American actor, producer and comedian. He was born on June 19, 1953 in Los Angeles. One of his early roles was in Sarky Mouradian’s 1975 film, Sons of Sassoun, in which he plays a freedom fighter. Other than the hit film Borat with which he gained international acclaim, he has starred in films such as S.W.A.T. (2003), Meet the Spartans (2008), and Get Smart (2008). He has been married to Ellen Baca since 1977. They have two children.
