The City Council of Malaga, Spain, has unanimously adopted a statement officially recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia told ARMENPRESS.
The statement characterizes the happenings in the beginning of the previous century as a crime against humanity, which resulted in the formation of the large Armenian Diaspora. The City Council of Malaga also expressed its support to the Armenians worldwide, at the same time noting that the City Hall will soon install an Armenian cross-stone in the central park of Malaga, dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
