A charitable concert entitled “We are grateful, the Armenian soldier, we are with you” was held devoted to the treatment of Ruben Arakelian who was seriously wounded during the April four-day war by the participation of 5 singers.
They were united towards the major goal: to express their support to Ruben Arakelian. The idea of the charitable concert was issued by Hayk Petrosian who shared his views with the Beautified Project rock group and solo singer Andre Simonian, singers Sona Rubenian and Narine Dovlatian, singer Sevak Amroyan and they together decided to make this idea a reality.
The participants of the concert expressed their support by singing various Armenian national songs. They stated that this concert will continue, new singers will join them, and the assistance will be mainly given to wounded servicemen. “We want these concerts to be continuous and help also other soldiers”, the organizer of the concert Alexander Mherian said. He stated that is the first time of organizing concert like this, and the reaction of people was positive, and the tickets were sold within several days. “We will try to hold the next concert in a bigger hall in order to have large audience, and the revenue will be greater”, the organizer said.
The allocated money was given to Ruben Arakelian’s mother who promised that his son will definitely recover and return to the Army.
Famous Armenian actor Vardan Petrosian also attended the concert.
