I will continue to support the Armenians in Armenia’s dispute with Turkey and Azerbaijan. This is what member of the Slovak Delegation to the PACE Ľuboš Blaha posted on his Facebook page, according to News.am. Blaha also posted a part of the letter that Armenia’s Ambassador to Slovakia had written to him.
“I received a very cordial letter from Armenia’s ambassador. It does not contain a state secret, and so I have translated some phrases. “Dear Mr. Blaha, thanks to the crucial support of the Slovak Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the contradicting resolution on “Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories of Azerbaijan” was rejected. I would like to express my deep gratitude to you and the other members of the Slovak Delegation for taking extremely active steps to defend the positions of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Armenian Delegation in Strasbourg. Your votes served as a great contribution to continuing the peace process based on the 2007 Madrid Principles.
I am aware of the circumstances behind your trip to Strasbourg, and allow me to express gratitude to you for these efforts as well.”
I am very moved by these respectful words. I deeply respect the Ambassador and assure Armenia that I will always stand for truth and peace. I will continue to support the Armenians in Armenia’s dispute with Turkey and Azerbaijan since you deserve it. God willing.”
