Racist Note seen on Wall of Armenian School of Istanbul on day Marking Dink’s Murder

January 19th marks the ninth year of the murder of Istanbul-Armenian journalist, publicist and editor-in-chief of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian Weekly Hrant Dink. Today, on the day marking his death anniversary, a racist note was seen on the wall of the Galfayan Armenian School located in the Skyutar District of Istanbul, report Turkish presses, according to Akunq.net.

According to the source, the phrase “Armenian slave” was particularly written on the wall. Let us mention that manifestations of racism have been noticed in Turkey on the day of Dink’s murder in the past. For instance, there have been police officers wearing white hats and looking like Dink’s assassin on the streets, etc.

The source also reminds that the Galfayan Pre-School and Secondary School was founded in 1866 by Srbuhi and Nshan Galfayan and that the school was transferred to the Skyutar District of Istanbul in 1971.
