I don’t believe we will be 100% safe in case of concessions, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan says

Leader of Artsakh Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan said that he doesn’t believe in 100% safety in case of concessions for unclear promises around NK issue.

The leader of Artsakh Diocese said this during his meeting with journalists touching upon the talks about ceding territories:

»It’s been speculated a lot recently that Arstakh should cede some regions, there should be a referendum, they should give us a narrow corridor etc, but there is no safety pledge. If they give us a narrow corridor, who will be guarding it- the international forces? Well, hypothetically we make concessions for unclear promises. Our experience proves the opposite: U.S. entered Iraq and left it saying everything was peaceful there but we see the massacre there now. And who said that the guarantee will be fully carried out in our case?’», said Archbishop Pargev noting that he personally doesn’t believe in such guarantees.
