Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to meet with His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, as well as the participants of the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin told Armenpress.
At the meeting His Holiness Garegin II praised the results of the four-day meeting of the Council. “We attach importance to such meetings with both the Supreme Spiritual Council and our clergymen because the Parliament with its legal activities regulates all spheres of public life, discusses issues relating to the value system of the spiritual life. And in this regard we highly value the cooperation between the Parliament and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin for the sake of our country, our people and for the welfare of our life”, His Holiness Garegin II said.
The Speaker welcomed the Catholicos and the clergymen and talked about the current challenges, stating that it is possible to achieve the progress of the homeland through cooperation.
