Court of Appeal to announce decision on changing Robert Kocharyan’s preventive measure on February 7

The examination of the complaint on the preventive measure of 2^nd President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan ended at the Court of Appeal. The court will announce the decision on February 7, 12:00, ARMENPRESS reports Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan told the reporters after the hearing.

“A complete trial took place. All the arguments of the parties have been discussed. The decision will be published on February 7 at 12:00”, he said.

The court prolonged Robert Kocharyan’s pre-trial detention by 2 months on January 18. Kocharyan’s lawyers have appealed the decision of the court of 1st instance.

Former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan is charged for breaching constitutional order during the 2008 March 1 unrest.
