As the opening event of its 60th anniversary commemorations, JMA dedicated a special day to honoring its founder, Vartan Jinishian. Held under the theme “Remembering Vartan,” the event brought together clergy and directors, representatives of educational, cultural, and social institutions, the Executive Director of the Jinishian Program, the Country Directors of Armenia and Lebanon, JMA staff, Advisory Committee members, and a large audience.
The program, led by students from the Hamazkayin Cultural Center and Mesrobian College, together with Anayis Geudekian and Arine Markarian, offered a meaningful tribute celebrating Vartan Jinishian’s life, vision, and enduring legacy.
The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Raffi Meserlian, followed by remarks from the Executive Director, Eliza Minassyan, and the Lebanon Country Director, Christine Tanielian. The commemoration concluded with a closing prayer offered by the Chairman of the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Middle East, Very Rev. Hrayr Cholakian.
