Three citizens of Armenia were arrested in Georgia following the incident at the Upper Lars border checkpoint when drug was found in the bus traveling to Armenia.
The Armenian Embassy in Georgia says it does everything possible to organize the quick transportation of the remaining Armenian citizens of the bus to Armenia.
“As we have earlier reported a bus traveling to Armenia was stopped at the Georgian side of the Upper Lars border checkpoint in suspicion of transporting a banned item. The Georgian law enforcement agencies informed that three Armenian citizens were arrested. Investigation is underway, and the Embassy will make additional statements on the future developments. All passengers of the bus are being questioned. The diplomats of the Armenian Embassy, who are in the Upper Lars, provided food and first necessity items to the Armenian citizens”, the Embassy in a statement.
