Armenia, being a member state of the CSTO and EAEU, and based on the principle of sovereignty and national interests, works and deeply cooperates with the mentioned 2 institutions, ARMENPRESS reports Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told the reporters at the National Assembly.
A reporter reminded the article of one of the Russian periodicals headlined “Armenia, being CSTO and EAEU member state, carries out hybrid war against Russia”, and asked for the FM’s opinion.
“Frankly speaking, I have not read that article and judging from what you say, I have no desire to read it. Armenia is a CSTO member state, EAEU member state and being a member state of the CSTO and EAEU, and based on the principle of sovereignty and national interests, Armenia works and deeply cooperates with the mentioned 2 institutions. We cooperate with other various institutions and today I will speak about that at the parliament. Yes, we are the country that is a EAEU member state and has the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with the EU. Armenia is a CSTO member state but at the same time cooperates with various other partners in the military-political sphere. Today I had the opportunity to say again that it stems from our national interests and priorities”, Mnatsakanyan said, emphasizing that Armenia’s task is to do everything not to develop relations with some partners at the expense of relations with others.
