“ONEArmenia” nonprofit organization launches “HIKEArmenia” campaign which will make Armenia’s landscape available for travelers on a mobile application. As the organization informed “Armenpress”, “ONEArmenia” (1A) had created Inside Yerevan¬ guide in autumn, 2015. The guide helped thousands of people, including tourists and locals to recognize Armenia better. With the current campaign “ONEArmenia” expands its borders leading from the city to Armenia’s landscape and communities outside of the industrial capital.
As the official website of “ONEArmenia” informs, they are working with experts across multiple industries to create a digital bridge between travelers to the country and Armenia’s natural and cultural resources. They want to facilitate both locals’ and visitors’ abilities to engage with Armenia’s landscape and its people in a meaningful way and stimulate the local economies surrounding trails in more remote regions of the country. The project will consist of several components, two of which will be funded by this crowdfunding campaign.
Part of the budget will go towards marking five 10 to 11km hiking trails in Armenia. The organization is working sidebyside the local community of hiking experts here in Armenia to mark these trails according to international standards, so that these trails can be discovered and enjoyed by everyone.
