The annual ranking, published by Age International, classifies countries based on the quality of life and health of aged people.
Last year, Armenia ranked the 40th on the list of 96 countries; in 2013, it was the 51st among 91 states.
Georgia is the 29th on the index, with Russia and Turkey placing the 65th and 75th, respectively. This year’s ranking does not include Azerbaijan and Iran.
The leading countries on the index are Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and Germany.
