The primary health care center of Navur community from now on will serve nearly 1970 population from Navur, Chinchin and Itcaqar of Tavush region. The Minister of Health of RA Armen Muradian and the World Bank Country Manager for Armenia Laura E. Bailey participated in the opening of the center built in 2014 within the framework of the program implemented by the Ministry of Health of RA and financed by the Government of RA and the World Bank.
“This ambulatory is the first construction among the infrastructures of the community since the years of independence which will have positive influence on the development of the health care. We are grateful to the Health Project Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Health RA and the World Bank for bringing to life this project” said the chief of the community Navur Aram Nigoyan highlighting the community residents’ gratification.
Director of the primary health care center of Navur community Kayane Kevorkian stressed that the activity of this medical establishment will intrinsically promote to the medical help and service process improvement giving opportunity to cross border community population to get primary health care in good conditions.
Armen Muradian introduced new projects of the Ministry of Health implemented in 2015 to the medical workers focusing on their efficient actualization. The Minister was interested by the process of the program about preventative medical examination for the beneficiary of social packages; he pointed out the screening programs started from July within the scope of the program “Prevention and monitoring of diseases” highlighting the vitality of steps taken to increase the population awareness.
Important to mention that during the health care systems modernization of the RA regions in 2014 the community Navur was involved in extra financing credit program by the World Bank. Considering the inappropriateness of reconstruction in the given region it was decided to build a new ambulatory in allocated territory constructional works of which were started on April 2014. All in all, 52.5 million drams were invested in Navur community.
