September 1, the day of knowledge, book and writing: this is a unique and unforgettable event for every schoolchild, student, parent, and pedagogue. Today 40 thousand children will enter schools for the first time. The day is not less festive for teens and young people, who will open the doors of universities for the first time. This year the number of first year students is more than 9900, moreover 1316 of them will study free of charge.
The officials responsible for the sphere congratulate pupils and students on September 1. In conversation with “Armenpress”, the head of Public Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Narine Hovhannisian congratulating the pedagogical stuff, directors of schools, pupils and especially the first graders on the start of the new academic year.
She also underscored that this year more first graders will enter the public schools.
